Qatar has said there are no internal security concerns following Iranian attacks, which had been thwarted earlier on February 28.

The Gulf state urged the public to rely on official information and avoid rumours.

In statements carried by Qatar News Agency, the Ministry of Interior said the security situation in the country remains stable, with no indications giving cause for concern despite ongoing regional developments.

The Director of Public Relations at the Ministry of Interior said, “We urge everyone to stay home except for absolute necessities, and we will not hesitate to take any legal action against those who spread rumours.”

He added that attacks targeting the country had been thwarted and urged citizens and residents to avoid approaching any suspicious objects.

Security situation stable

The ministry called on residents and visitors to remain indoors, stay away from windows and open areas, and avoid leaving home except in cases of necessity until the situation stabilises.

Authorities said they are closely monitoring regional developments and coordinating with relevant entities to safeguard the safety and security of citizens and residents while ensuring uninterrupted services across the country.

Officials also reiterated that the public should obtain information exclusively from authorised sources and avoid circulating unverified news or video clips.

They added that updates will be provided through official channels as they become available.
