Tulum-born hotel brand Nômade Temple has just opened its second property in Europe in Ibiza.

Located in Portinatx in the Spanish island’s north, the 182-key property has direct access to a secluded beach.

The design of the new hotel preserves iconic elements of the original resort found here, such as arches and terraces, and the project as a whole is meant to “look back to a time when the island functioned as a meeting point for creative communities, where music, art and human connection shaped everyday life”.

Blending wellness, music and gastronomy, Nômade Temple Ibiza will offer retreats, artist residences and ritual events throughout the year.

“We are not interested in replicating the predictable luxury model that defines much of Ibiza today,” Miguel Isla, CEO of Nomade People, said.

“The island has a deeper history – one rooted in freedom, creativity and connection – and that’s what we want to bring back.”

The brand already has hotels in Tulum and Holbox in Mexico, as well as a property in Madrid.

What to expect at Nômade Temple Ibiza

In a bid to minimise its ecological footprint, the culinary team at Nômade Temple Ibiza works with local fishermen, producers and growers across its restaurants.

This includes omakase KUU JŪ, which makes use of Mediterranean ingredients such as red prawns, citrus and island herbs across its Japanese-style plates, as well as all-day dining spot TAVLA, which focuses on charcoal-grilled meats, marinated seafood and seasonal vegetables.

If you’re looking to take advantage of Ibiza’s fantastic weather, you can head to 4FU3GOS, a beachside restaurant with a seafood-heavy menu, while one of the property’s highlights is Dante’s Hifi, which has been inspired by Japanese listening bars.

Café Libre is where you’ll start your day, with healthy breakfast dishes, specialty coffee and smoothies.

The resort is also home to GÖN House of Healing Ibiza, the wellness area that includes hammam steam rooms, dry saunas, cold plunges and a warm mineral water flotation tank, as well as treatment rooms for facials and massages.

Nômade Temple Ibiza is a 40-minute drive from Ibiza Airport. The international airport is served year-round from domestic destinations including Madrid, Barcelona, Malaga and Valencia, with seasonal connections from major cities including Athens, Rome, Frankfurt, London, Milan and more.

The opening certainly isn’t the only new property welcoming guests to Ibiza this year. Other must-book stays include the Parador de Ibiza, which is found within the city’s UNESCO World Heritage-listed acropolis, and the five-star BLESS Ibiza The Site in Playa d’en Bossa.
