On today’s show:

Euronews’ Shona Murray reports from Brussels as NATO defence ministers meet to prepare for next month’s summit in Ankara, with Ukraine, defence spending and transatlantic security high on the agenda.

Attention then turns to the European Council, where EU leaders gather in Brussels for a working dinner with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to discuss continued support for Ukraine, the Middle East and the bloc’s next long-term budget.

Cyprus’ Deputy Minister for European Affairs Marilena Raouna joins us in the studio as the country prepares to hand over the rotating EU presidency to Ireland, reflecting on six months at the helm and the challenges that remain.

Retired US General Ben Hodges discusses the proposed US-Iran framework deal, assessing its implications for regional security, sanctions and efforts to prevent Tehran from acquiring a nuclear weapon.

Jakub Janas takes a closer look at the high-stakes European Council dinner, where EU leaders will tackle enlargement, competition with China and negotiations over the bloc’s next seven-year budget.

Finally, Euronews’ João Azevedo joins us live from Lisbon after Portugal’s World Cup debut, as Cristiano Ronaldo begins what could be his final tournament and England prepare to face Croatia.
