The Fire Department of the City of New York (FDNY) announced that an accident involving an aircraft and a vehicle occurred on the runway of LaGuardia Airport late Sunday night.

Fire officials confirmed that they responded to the incident on the runway at 23:38 local time. Details of the incident at the airport, located in East Elmhurst, Queens, New York, have not yet been finalised.

The National Transport Safety Board (NTSB) reported that information was being gathered on the situation, but a detailed statement could not be made yet.

While flights were stopped, information on whether there were any injuries in the incident has not yet been shared.
