Aman is famed for the unique locations of its resorts, from lodges scattered across the valleys of Bhutan to tented suites on the outskirts of Rajasthan’s Ranthambore National Park.

Now the fabulous location of the luxury hospitality company’s next property in the USA has been revealed: Texas Hill Country.

Dubbed Amansanu, which is derived from the Sanskrit words for “peaceful peak”, the secluded ranch retreat is the brand’s sixth Stateside opening.

Previous openings include Amangiri, a desert retreat in Utah’s Canyon Point, and Amangani, which boasts views of the Tetons in Wyoming and is currently undergoing refurbishments. Aman New York, among the brand’s first city hotels, opened in 2022, while Aman Miami Beach and Aman Beverly Hills are both set to open next year.

While no opening date has been announced for Amansanu yet, here’s what we know so far.

What to expect at Amansanu

While the stunning landscape of rolling hills, winding creeks and sculpted canyons will allow guests to feel like they’re far from the noise of the modern world, the property is just a 90-minute drive from Austin.

Designed by Olson Kundig, the buildings, which include a collection of fully serviced Aman branded residences plus hotel suites, follow the lines of and frame the surrounding topography.

For those who want to step into the landscape themselves, there are plenty of hiking trails around, but the property is also the first to offer fully serviced stables.

Other highlights include an Aman Spa and Wellness centre, racquet sports courts and a number of restaurants.
