In this special news coverage, Euronews’ Sasha Vakulina and Maria Tadeo break down all you need to know about the second day of this year’s Davos.

It seems like all three days of discussions have been overshadowed by the return of Donald Trump to the Alpine town, with his rhetoric and policy signals fuelling renewed tensions between the United States and Europe.

From trade and defence spending to NATO and climate commitments, delegates in Davos have been grappling with what a second Trump presidency could mean for transatlantic relations.

“I don’t want to use force. I won’t use force”, the US president insisted while saying “I’m asking for a piece of ice, cold and poorly located, that can play a vital role in world peace and world protection. It’s a very small ask compared to what we have given them for many, many decades”.

In this special show, we also connect with Jane Witherspoon at the Euronews’ Hub.
