Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will meet with Donald Trump in Washington on Monday, following the U.S. president’s summit with Russia’s Vladimir Putin in Alaska.

“On Monday, I will meet with President Trump in Washington, D.C., to discuss all of the details regarding ending the killing and the war. I am grateful for the invitation,” said Zelenskyy in a post on X early Saturday.

The announcement came shortly after Zelenskyy spoke with Trump on the phone, following the meeting in Alaska between Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday where no ceasefire was agreed.
