Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s 18-year-old daughter Vivienne has officially changed her surname and will now be known as Vivienne Jolie.

Vivienne filed the paperwork in Los Angeles County Superior Court on 12 July and she becomes the fifth of the former couple’s six children to no longer go by “Jolie-Pitt.”

It is not known whether Vivienne’s twin brother Knox has legally changed his surname, but he did publicly use the name “Knox Jolie” when he graduated from high school in June.

Shiloh, 20, was the first of the children to be granted a name change in 2024 – now going by the name Shiloh Jolie. In July this year, Maddox, 25, and Zahara, 21, also removed the actor’s surname from their names.

Pax Jolie-Pitt, 22, is the last of the children still using the double-barreled surname. He is reportedly the only one who remains in contact with Pitt’s family.

Jolie, 51, and Pitt, 62, split in 2016 after more than a decade together.

The family divide is believed to have come following a 2016 airplane altercation in which Pitt allegedly got into a heated argument with his family. The Oscar winner allegedly was “verbally abusive” and “physical” with one of his kids.

Jolie filed for divorce the day after the incident, while an FBI investigation into child abuse allegations cleared Pitt of all charges.

The couple’s divorce was finalized in December 2024.
