What does the perfect holiday itinerary look like to you? Sauntering through a museum or art gallery to discover a country’s heritage and culture, before sampling its local cuisine?

What if your debit or credit card could unlock local experiences, recommendations and exclusive offers while you’re abroad?

Well, if you’re a Visa cardholder, the digital payment brand has launched Visa Destinations – a platform designed for what it describes as the “passion-led” traveller looking for experiences, recommendations and offers across culture, dining, entertainment, shopping, hotels, flights, transport and wellness.

“With Visa Destinations, we are accompanying travellers throughout their journey and helping them discover the moments that make a destination memorable,” said Katya Petelina, head of global cross-border and global sales and commercial operations at Visa.

Visa Destinations is now live across 10 locations with more slated to be added later in 2026. So far, three destinations in Europe are included and here’s what travellers can expect.

London

Famed for iconic landmarks and endless cultural offerings, London is also home to some of the world’s best eateries.

With Visa Destinations, eligible cardholders can savour an array of dining options, including at sketch. The three-Michelin-starred Mayfair restaurant is giving diners a complimentary “sketch Book” worth £55 (€63.84). The coffee-table-style book explores the stories and recipes behind the avant-garde restaurant.

Looking to see the city from a bird’s-eye view? Another London travel perk is a 15% discount on standard London Eye tickets, which can be redeemed multiple times. Standing 135 metres above the South Bank on the River Thames, the attraction offers sweeping views of landmarks such as Buckingham Palace and St Paul’s Cathedral.

Italy

In Italy, the digital payment brand recommends an exclusive array of guided tours through the country’s rich history.

Visitors can enjoy 12% off admission tickets, including to Milan’s Santa Maria delle Grazie church, home to The Last Supper by Leonardo da Vinci; Naples’ hidden underground ancient ruins; or the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel, where visitors can admire the famous ceiling painted by Michelangelo.

Visa Infinite holders can also enjoy 10% off a private tour of Rome by sidecar, with hotel pick-up and drop-off included. Travellers can also customise the tour’s itinerary for a personalised experience.

Paris

In the French capital, why not skip the queues at the Louvre Museum? Eligible cardholders, alongside up to three guests, can instead use the fast lane entrance to one of the world’s most visited attractions, which has more than 30,000 works of art on display at any given time.

Fashion-forward travellers can also explore the city through the eyes of Coco Chanel on a guided tour led by a fashion history expert. Stops include several iconic addresses, such as the legendary Chanel boutique on Rue Cambon for a memorable shopping experience.
