A harbor seal escaped a pod of hunting orcas by leaping onto a small boat carrying wildlife photographers in Washington’s Salish Sea. The whales circled and tried to dislodge it for nearly 20 minutes before giving up, allowing the seal to ride to safety and slip back into the water.
