US President Donald Trump and New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani spoke to reporters after their meeting at Gracie Mansion in New York.
Mamdani said all members of the press would be welcome at the event, despite the ongoing dispute over White House media access.
Trump responded to the TV networks’ boycott by saying, “They never boycott me,” while pointing to the journalists gathered outside.
Trump also said he had an obligation to keep what he called “fake news” out of the White House.
