Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares tells Euronews the upcoming election on November 29 pits a ‘progressive majority’ against rightwing forces that want to remove fundamental rights. Albares sees elements of foreign interference, saying “they want to divide and weaken Europeans”. He also discusses Madrid’s position ahead of an EU leaders summit on Thursday, advocating to use the Russian frozen assets to finance Ukraine after Brussels shelved the idea in 2025. He spoke on the sidelines of the Warsaw Security Forum.
