Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu faced protests and scrutiny as his corruption trial continued, with the court enforcing restrictions on media access.
Protesters outside Tel Aviv District Court on Monday portrayed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as a “puppet” of Qatar, as he appeared for his ongoing corruption trial.
Journalists covering the trial reported being barred from questioning Netanyahu, following a court-approved request.
The court also granted Netanyahu’s plea to postpone his testimony until next week.
The Israeli leader is under renewed pressure from protesters over his decision to remove the head of the Shin Bet security agency, Ronen Bar.
