Wildfires have continued to blaze across parts of Nepal, with Dhading district among the hardest hit. Community forests in the region have been burning for four consecutive days, placing nearby settlements under serious threat.
Rising temperatures have ignited fresh outbreaks, including in Jyamire Pakha of Nilkantha Municipality. The Ashu Community Forest fire has spread rapidly, damaging water pipelines and destroying livestock shelters and stored firewood.
Locals, struggling without sufficient resources, have criticised the Forest Division Office for failing to act.
Elsewhere, fires have scorched forests in Sindhuli, intensifying air pollution. Blazes along both sides of the BP Highway have raised travel risks, with flames consuming pine and sal forests across the Banepa-Sindhuli-Bardibas route.
