Hundreds of mourners gathered at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Dublin on Tuesday for the funeral of Oscar-winning singer-songwriter Glen Hansard, who died last week in a motorcycle crash at age 56.

Family, friends and fans were joined by figures including Bono, Steve Coogan, Chris O’Dowd, Hozier and Imelda May, while crowds outside watched the service on large screens in St. Patrick’s Park.

Eddie Vedder performed “The Song of Good Hope” with Markéta Irglová, Hansard’s former musical and screen partner. Bono remembered him as a man whose warmth left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
