The daughter of US acting legend Tommy Lee Jones, best known for his roles in the Men in Black franchise and No Country for Old Men, has been found dead at a hotel in California, according to US media reports.

Victoria Kafka Jones, 34, was pronounced dead in the early hours of New Year’s Day at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco.

The San Francisco Fire Department said emergency crews were called to the hotel at 2.52am local time following reports of a medical emergency. Paramedics pronounced her dead, a department spokesperson said.

The cause of death has not yet been determined.

Victoria Kafka Jones was the daughter of Tommy Lee Jones and his second wife, Kimberlea Cloughley, to whom the actor was married from 1981 to 1996.

She made her film debut at the age of 11 with a small role in Men in Black II. She later appeared in several screen projects as a child, including an episode of One Tree Hill in 2003 and The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada (2005), a western directed by her father.

After 2005, she largely stepped away from acting but continued to make occasional public appearances alongside her father, including at the Tokyo International Film Festival in 2017 and the premiere of Just Getting Started the same year.
