The difference between packing for an adult and a child isn’t all that much. You both need weather-appropriate clothing, shoes, toiletries, and, of course, your unmentionables.
There is one essential that kids need that (most) adults don’t: Their teddy.
Whether your little one’s beloved stuffed toy comes in a traditional bear shape or in the form of some other animal, it’s imperative that they come with you on your adventures – and make it back safely – or you may face some serious tantrums.
Luckily for you, easyJet has unveiled a new initiative to make sure cuddly toys make it there and back again, and if they are lost, you can easily be reunited with them.
That’s because the airline has partnered with Life360 to offer customers free tile trackers that can be attached to their kids’ companions.
Families will be able to collect their teddy trackers at easyJet bag drop from 31 July at London Gatwick, Manchester, Edinburgh and Belfast airports while stocks last. Simply attach the tracker to the toy, download the app and connect it to your device with Bluetooth, and away you go.
“For many children, a favourite teddy or comfort toy is an important part of the journey and losing it can be upsetting at what should be an exciting time,” Stuart Wright, customer director at easyJet holidays, said.
“That’s why we’ve launched Teddy Trackers, giving families extra peace of mind while they’re away. Creating brilliant holiday experiences is at the heart of what we do, and we’re delighted to be offering another simple way to make family holidays as smooth and stress-free as possible.”
While it may seem silly to some, a poll of more than 1,000 parents of children aged under 10 has revealed that 55% of parents would change their plans while away to retrieve a missing companion.
In case you were wondering, the most common companion in 2026 is a stuffed bunny (26%), followed by teddy bears (25%), then action figures or dolls (15%), according to the easyJet survey. The top names reported are Bunny, Teddy, Fluffy and Billy.
