Now in its second edition, the Michelin Guide has just unveiled its latest selection of One-, Two- and Three-Key hotels across the globe.
As you might expect, those at the higher end of the scale have the price tag to match, with some properties coming in at upwards of €5,000 per night.
But that doesn’t mean you have to take out a second mortgage to experience the best hotels around the globe as there are some far more affordable One- and Two-Key options, particularly if you visit in off-season.
From the 2026 selection, Michelin Guide has rounded up the best-value gems across the globe that will set you back between €130 and €220 a night.
The most affordable Michelin Key hotels in Europe
Italy has the most hotels in Europe that have been awarded a Michelin Key, with 224 properties making the cut in 2026.
For an option that won’t cost you an arm and a leg, take a look at La Barchessa di Villa Pisani in Vicenza.
The 15-room Renaissance-style property is part of the City of Vicenza and the Palladian Villas of the Veneto UNESCO World Heritage Site, yet a stay here is just €155 a night.
France boasts 220 keys, but for an affordable option around €160 per night, book a stay at Le Clair de la Plume.
The property in Grignan is just moments away from a medieval castle and fields of lavender, and it’s also home to the Michelin-starred Le Clair de la Plume.
The UK also has a healthy showing on the list, with 131 hotels with Michelin Keys.
For a stay that will cost around €218 per night, try Tillingham Winery in Rye. This wine estate has just 11 rooms, plus two glamping tents, and the Michelin-selected Tillingham restaurant on-site.
Spain has 122 Michelin Key hotels, and Can Mascort Eco Hotel in Costa Brava is among the most affordable.
Priced between €95 and €157 a night, the restored 17th-century property focuses on wellness with its Roman bath-inspired spa area.
Over in Greece, the best priced of its 74 Key hotels is Montanema Handmade Village in Thessaly.
At this sustainability-focused spot, shoulder season rates are around €220 a night, and for that price you can relax by the pool or in the spa with a cave sauna.
Last but not least, Neuwirt. Hotel & Wirtshaus in Bad Vigaun is among the least expensive of the 72 awarded hotels in Austria at €130 per night.
The family-run hotel has just 24 rooms, and has been welcoming guests to experience its hospitality and local gastronomy for more than 100 years.
