Britain’s Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) said on Sunday that it will prosecute Andrew Tate, 39, on new counts of rape along with charges of trafficking for sexual exploitation, assault and offenses relating to indecent images of a child and extreme pornography. Tristan Tate, 38, faces new counts of rape, sexual assault and trafficking for sexual exploitation.

The 38 new charges come on top of 21 the brothers already face in Britain, and bring the total number of alleged victims to seven. They relate to alleged offenses between July 2010 and August 2017, the CPS said.

“They have been arrested and await extradition proceedings to the U.K.,” said Malcolm McHaffie, head of the Special Crime Division at the CPS.

The U.S. Justice Department said the arrests were carried out under standard extradition procedures. “Today, U.S. Marshals in the Southern District of Florida arrested Andrew and Tristan Tate pursuant to extradition proceedings,” a department spokesperson said Saturday. “These arrests were made in accordance with the treaties and law enforcement agreements governing Justice Department extraditions.”

The arrest warrant remains sealed, and the Tates are expected to make an initial court appearance in Florida early next week, according to a law enforcement official.

The pair moved to Romania in 2016, were arrested there in 2022 in a separate sexual exploitation investigation, and traveled to the U.S. after a Romanian travel ban was lifted last year.

The Tates, former kickboxers with dual U.S. and British citizenship, built their fame promoting a lavish lifestyle and views on masculinity and wealth. Andrew Tate has previously described himself as a misogynist. Both brothers deny all the allegations against them.
