Sorry, Android owners, maybe next year!
This year’s Grand Prize went to Jarod Peraza (USA) for his gorgeously cinematic photograph titled Viajero Nocturno, capturing the hushed stillness of Villa de Leyva, Colombia. Under a lone golden streetlamp, an elderly man in a hat pauses on a cobblestone street, phone in hand, as the whitewashed walls glow and shadows stretch in a scene tinged with noir.
The First Place award was picked up by Carol Addassi for his photograph titled Passage, a timeless black and white image of Central Park at night. Thiago Bernardes de Souza (Brazil) claimed Second Place with Moto Cães, a playful image of two canines enjoying a wild ride while Martha Nance (USA) took Third with Foggy Morning on the Corrotoman, a dreamlike portrait of Virginia’s riverside calm.
Below, you’ll find all the winning images across the various categories, along with a few of our favourite runner-up shots that caught our eye.
