The Ukrainian Air Force has reported that Russian forces launched a total of 108 Shahed attack drones and various types of decoy drones against Ukraine during the night of 11 May. By 9:30 am, the Ukrainian military confirmed that 60 drones had been shot down in the country’s east, north, south, and centre, while 41 decoy drones were “lost locally without causing any negative consequences.”
In the Brovary and Obukhiv districts of the Kyiv region, one man was injured, and private houses were damaged.
Over the past 24 hours, at least seven civilians have been injured in Russian attacks on populated areas in the Kharkiv and Donetsk regions. Among the wounded were elderly people. Private homes, as well as civilian infrastructure, were destroyed. Authorities in the Kharkiv region reported that Russian forces used 13 aerial reconnaissance bombs, one Lancet-type drone, and one FPV drone.
In the Kherson region, one person has been killed and three others injured in the past 24 hours due to shelling by the Russian army. Residential areas and civilian infrastructure were struck, damaging two private houses and a mobile phone tower.
On Sunday morning in the Zaporizhzhia region, Russian forces launched an airstrike on the village of Pavlivka, leaving a 75-year-old woman injured.
“The Russians are targeting frontline communities in the Zaporizhzhia region with KAB bombs. Three strikes hit the village of Pavlivka, damaging residential houses. A 75-year-old woman was seriously wounded,” said Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration. He later reported another strike on the settlement, which injured another local resident.
Ukraine’s State Emergency Service reports that over the past 24 hours, rescue teams responded to 153 incidents to deal with the aftermath of Russian shelling on settlements and infrastructure.
In Russia’s Kursk region, deputy governor Oleksandr Khinshtein stated that two elderly women were injured in a Ukrainian drone attack on the village of Huevo in the Sujan district.
Meanwhile, Vyacheslav Gladkov, governor of Russia’s Belgorod region, reported that the Ukrainian armed forces launched 102 munitions and 66 drones in the past 24 hours. A female agricultural worker was wounded, according to a statement from local authorities.
On Sunday morning, the Russian Ministry of Defence announced that its forces had “resumed” fighting after a “ceasefire” declared by President Vladimir Putin during Russia’s Victory Day celebrations.
