PARIS — French presidential candidates Gabriel Attal, Marine Le Pen and Jean-Luc Mélenchon will all take the stage Thursday for interviews at POLITICO’s first-ever Playbook Paris event.
The action begins shortly before 2.30 p.m., when our journalists will quiz Attal, a former prime minister who now leads President Emmanuel Macron’s party, about the deepening fissures within his political movement.
Next up is Le Pen, the far-right front-runner, who is set to take the stage at around 3.30 p.m. to discuss her plans to reshape France’s relationship with Europe, among other topics.
The summit concludes with Mélenchon, the anticapitalist leading all other leftist candidates in the polls, and a conversation about his strategy to get people who don’t normally vote to head to the polls next year.
