Nigel Farage was declared the winner of the Clacton by-election Friday morning, seeing off an array of independents and novelty candidates in a race boycotted by other mainstream political party candidates.
The Reform UK leader won with 22,239 votes, with his nearest rival, Count Binface, coming second with 9,455 votes.
The special contest was triggered by Farage himself, with the right-wing populist billing it as a “people versus the establishment” chance to boost his personal mandate amid parliamentary investigations into his finances.
