Coming up today, the EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has welcomed the latest Ukraine peace deal on the table in a speech in Strasbourg, calling it a ‘starting point’ that comes after days of diplomacy. EU foreign affairs ministers also met yesterday to pile pressure on the Kremlin to opt for a more credible commitment to peace.
