Euronews has secured its strongest January on record for digital performance, signalling the success of a multi-year pivot toward a digital-first, original journalism model.

The network registered 113 million page views and 13.6 million video views across its proprietary website and app throughout the month. This performance marks the third-highest monthly page view count in the company’s history, surpassed only by the surge of the March 2020 pandemic (127 million) and the recent peak of December 2025 (114 million).

The figures exclude the additional millions of regular users Euronews reaches through third-party platforms including YouTube, MSN, and Yahoo.

Historically defined by its role as a pan-European news television leader since the 1990s, Euronews is now positioning itself as the primary digital destination for EU and European affairs coverage.

This evolution follows a recent investment cycle where the organisation has scaled its specialised newsroom capacity in Brussels and key European capitals including Berlin, Paris, Madrid, and Rome, positioning itself to capture growing interest in European political and policy developments.

“This rapid growth in audience interest for Euronews’ distinctive journalism already places Euronews in a leading position in Brussels and confirms our strategic pivot toward original pan-European journalism,” said Claus Strunz, CEO and Editorial Director of Euronews.

“Euronews is not only addressing the Brussels EU bubble, but also decision-makers across Europe and around the world who are interested in European affairs—and, of course, Europe’s 500 million citizens, the sovereign.”

To support its goal of producing more original journalism and reaching every country across Europe and beyond, Euronews is integrating generative AI to build a localised, continent-wide journalism hub.

AI workflows are currently being deployed to translate and adapt text and video content across multiple languages, making original reporting available to local audiences in their own language at the same time.

The January momentum follows a banner year in 2025, where the group reached a total of 1.83 billion video views and 1.4 billion page views across its owned and distributed platforms.

Euronews has further tightened its grip on the EU news cycle with the launch of a new suite of editorial products. This includes Europe Today, its flagship live morning show broadcast from Brussels daily at 8:00 am, complemented by a dedicated morning podcast and a daily newsletter designed to set the news agenda in EU affairs.
