The hit Netflix show Emily in Paris is now in its sixth season. Initially set in the French capital, the story of an American marketing executive has since had sojourns in Saint Tropez, Megève, Rome and Venice.

The fifth season ended with on-off love interest and chef Gabriel sending protagonist Emily a postcard inviting her to join him in Greece, where he had been cooking for a billionaire on his private yacht.

Producers have confirmed that this will be the filming location of the continuing pan-European adventure, along with Monaco.

Here are our predictions for where the glamorous escapades of Emily will unfold next.

Mykonos vs. Santorini

Greece’s two most high-profile Aegean islands, Mykonos and Santorini, seem like good bets for season six filming locations.

Mykonos is home to some legendary beach clubs. Waterfront Scorpios draws the cool kids to its bohemian-chic, barefoot-luxury vibe and sunset rituals that verge on the spiritual.

Jackie O’ is a renowned LGBTQ+ hotspot with stylish drag shows and pool parties, while Nammos is a high-energy beach club specialising in champagne showers, dancing on tables and self-proclaimed ‘explosive parties’.

Any of these could make a good backdrop for Emily’s summer fling, or a surprise performance from best friend and singer Mindy.

Alternatively, Santorini’s serene caldera views, sunset spectacles and slow-paced Mediterranean lifestyle might reflect her finally fulfilling her love destiny with Gabriel.

The Michelin-star chef could whisk her off to gourmet dinners at establishments like Selene, which reinvents the island’s cuisine with rare ingredients sought out amongst the volcanic landscape, or the high-end Canaves Epitome resort with its fine dining Elements restaurant.

Both Mykonos and Santorini are gaining new hotels for 2026, too. The Four Seasons Resort Mykonos will overlook Kalo Livadi Bay and feature infinity pools, a spa, and direct beach access.

Sandblu Santorini aims to immerse guests in total tranquillity with serene Aegean views, spatial flows between indoors and outdoors and a yoga garden.

Pushing the boat out to Paros

Alternatively, producers might opt for something a little more low-key.

The island of Paros is considered sophisticated yet laid-back, where Emily and Gabriel might wander along quiet rocky shores, stumble across ‘undiscovered’ tavernas and fantasise about tying the knot in winsome, whitewashed chapels.

The marketing executive might even try her hand at windsurfing in prime spots like New Golden Beach – although her track record with new sports (like skiing) is not great.

This summer, two new luxury resorts are also opening on the island. Hyatt’s Parian Chronicle will be characterised by earthy tones and natural materials, and feature rooms with private pools and terraces.

Luura Cliff will be perched above the bay of Agia Irini on the island’s western coast, as the name suggests, and feature minimalist, sculptural design. The adults-only retreat will offer wellness treatments and yoga with sea views.
