High up in the Middle Atlas mountains lies the Moroccan town of Ifrane, the next stop in our Golf Travel Tales series.
Join host Immy Barclay as she takes us around Ifrane, where majestic mountains, rolling hills and diverse wildlife create a haven for nature and sports enthusiasts alike.
A visit to Ifrane is not complete without a stop at the “Golf Mecca of Morocco,” the prestigious Michlifen Golf and Country Club. Here, we meet the club’s golf professional Bouhlal Saddeh Mohamed to learn about the course’s challenging fairways and design by Jack Nicklaus, playing a few holes amidst pristine cedar forest, lake and mountain scenery.
After working on her swing, Immy takes a well-deserved rest in Michlifen’s on-site Mountain Spa, an art-filled oasis providing the ultimate relaxation experience. Our last stop takes us to Domaine De La Pommerie, one of the region’s finest purveyors of local produce where we sample the delectable Kandry goat cheese, a speciality of the Kandars mountain region.
