Crédit Mutuel Arkéa denounces “the carrying out of fraudulent transactions” and insists that none of its customers will suffer any loss.

The French bank, headquartered in Brittany, says it has been the victim of a cyberattack that was detected by its own teams.

The bank’s management say they have taken “the decision to temporarily suspend certain transactions in order to secure operations and prevent any new fraudulent movements”.

According to Le Télégramme (source in French), 133 million dollars (118 million euros) have disappeared. The bank does not confirm this information.

The Breton daily adds that the information was disclosed by ZachXBT, an independent investigator specialising in cryptocurrencies.
