The European Union is pushing back against a 28-point plan to end the war in Ukraine, reportedly being drafted behind closed doors by the US and Russia, demanding that any diplomatic attempt must have Kyiv and European leaders at the table. The attack struck early on 19 November 2025, hitting two apartment blocks as well as an industrial site in the city about 200 kilometres from the Polish border. Crews pulled dozens of injured residents from the rubble, including 15 children, bringing the total number of wounded to 73. Many of the victims died in a fire that swept through the buildings.
