Alors que l’entreprise d’intelligence artificielle qu’il a cofondée a soufflé sa troisième bougie, Arthur Mensch poursuit sa mutation de chercheur en intelligence artificielle à oracle des dépendances européennes en matière technologique. Devant l’Assemblée, début mai, il a enchaîné une série de constats et de recommandations en faveur d’une meilleure autonomie européenne dans ce domaine. La séquence est devenue virale, car elle questionne l’intérêt réel des politiques face aux enjeux de la course mondiale au meilleur modèle d’IA.

Le patron de Mistral AI porte ses messages dans les rendez-vous officiels et les sommets internationaux, qu’il enchaîne — il était à la table des géants de la tech réunis au G7 par Emmanuel Macron. Le président sortant a accompagné chaque pas de Mistral AI, lui ouvrant notamment les portes du CAC40. Pas de quoi desservir l’entreprise et son patron : désormais, rares sont les candidats à la présidentielle qui peuvent s’abstenir de marquer leur soutien au champion français, l’un des seuls acteurs européens encore en position pour concurrencer les géants américains et chinois.
