Today’s the big day for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, and fans have been gathering outside Madison Square Garden in New York to try to catch a glimpse of… well, anything.

The guests, the decor, the happy couple – and good luck to those intrepid Swifties, as extensive security, privacy measures and check-in processes have made this wedding celebration not only shrouded in secrecy when it comes to insider details, but purposefully impenetrable.

And why should it be any other way? The Manhattan arena’s lack of windows, guarded entrances, and secure garage provide vital privacy and safety for the couple. There’s even a no-phone policy for the guests, according to the New York Times, and rumours suggest that NDAs have been signed.

Earlier this week, we reported on the rumoured wedding – the chatter around the nuptials, the possible guests, Mayor Mamdani dropping hints – and it remains unclear what the expected celebrations could look like.

An event believed to be the rehearsal dinner reportedly took place yesterday.

Today’s private event is scheduled to begin at 5pm local time – and could last until 4am.

Sources who spoke to Variety said that A-listers have been “flying blind” with minimal details on the wedding’s theme or dress code. Many were told to be in New York City by the morning of 3 July and await further details.

As for their identities, Taylor Swift has a lot of celebrity friends, so we’ll know once everything is over and pictures are released. Rumoured bridesmaids include singer Selena Gomez, the Haim sisters and supermodel Gigi Hadid, while guests like singer Ed Sheeran and Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs teammates are all expected to attend.

Beloved TV presenter Graham Norton and actress Phoebe Waller-Bridge were spotted arriving in New York City yesterday, so it’s fair to assume that they have nabbed an invite. Same goes for Swift’s longtime collaborator Jack Antonoff, who was spotted in a tux yesterday. US tabloid Page Six reported that Bradley Cooper and Hadid had also arrived at the venue.

NBC says that 1,100 people are expected to attend the celebrations today.

Speculation continues… What we do know is for sure is that Swift and Kelce donated $26million to 20 local and national charities across the US ahead of the wedding.

The charities include nine food banks, seven educational programs, three children’s hospitals and an animal cruelty organization.

The list is as follows:

  • City Harvest, New York City
  • Food Bank For NYC
  • New York Cares
  • Los Angeles Regional Food Bank
  • Harvesters – The Community Food Network, Kansas City, MO
  • The Store, Nashville, TN
  • Helping Harvest, Reading, PA
  • Rhode Island Community Food Bank
  • Feeding America (National)
  • ASPCA (National)
  • Dolly Parton”s Imagination Library (National)
  • Grammy In The Schools (National)
  • Education Through Music, New York, NY
  • Answer The Call, New York, NY
  • Musical Mentors, New York, NY
  • After-School All- Stars, New York, NY
  • After-School All-Stars, Cleveland, OH
  • MSK Kids, the pediatric cancer program at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center Children & Teen and Adolescents & Young Adult (AYA) Programs
  • Hassenfeld Children’s Hosipal at NYU Langone
  • Children’s Mercy Hospital, Kansas City, MO

“We are incredibly grateful for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s generous $1 million donation to City Harvest. This donation is a love letter to New York, and a bold commitment to our efforts to ensure that no New Yorker goes hungry,” said Jilly Stephens, CEO of City Harvest.

“Their support comes at a critical time, with visits to New York City soup kitchens and food pantries near record highs and expected to increase further in response to federal funding cuts.”
